1. Introduction

Welcome to the STEM Community Platform (the “ Platform” ), a website operated by AIM Institute and the Omaha STEM Ecosystem (“ we,” “ us,” or “ our” ). Please read these Terms of Use (“ Terms” ) carefully, as they govern your use of the STEM Community Platform (the “ Site).

Use of the STEM Community Platform is subject to these Terms, the STEM Community Platform Privacy Policy, and any additional terms and conditions, all of which are made part of these Terms by this reference.

By accessing or using this Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

2. Use of the STEM Community Platform

The STEM Community Platform is designed to connect educators and businesses by sharing STEM-related opportunities, events, resources, and programs.

By using the Platform, you agree to:

  • Use the Platform for lawful, community-minded purposes.
  • Not post or share any content that is unlawful, misleading, harmful, offensive, or that violates the rights of others.
  • Not attempt to interfere with the security or functionality of the Platform.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to any user who violates these Terms.

Creating an account

You may need to create a STEM Community Platform account to access certain features of the Platform. Your username and password are for your personal use only and should be kept confidential. You are responsible for all use (including unauthorized use) of your username and password. Please contact us if your account has been compromised or if you believe there has been unauthorized access.

The STEM Community Platform may reclaim, or require you to change your username for any reason.

Organization accounts

If you establish a STEM Community Platform account on behalf of a company, organization, entity, or brand ( " Brand," and such account a " Brand Account" ), the terms " you" and " your," as used throughout these Terms (including other STEM Community Platform terms and conditions incorporated by reference), apply to both you and the Brand.

By creating a Brand Account, you represent and warrant that you are authorized to grant all permissions and licenses provided in these Terms and to bind the Brand to these Terms.

3. Intellectual Property

STEM Community Platform users may post, upload, or otherwise contribute content to the Platform (" User Content" ). User Content includes all information, materials and other content added, created, uploaded, submitted, distributed, or posted to the Platform by users.

You are solely responsible for any User Content that you post.

You represent and warrant that:

  1. You own or have the necessary rights to post such User Content.
  2. The User Content, and its use by the STEM Community Platform under the license granted below, does not violate these Terms or infringe the intellectual property or other rights of any third party.

When posting or sharing User Content or other information on the Platform, please be mindful that such content will be publicly accessible and may be used or re-shared by others, both within the Platform and across the internet. Use discretion when posting. The STEM Community Platform is not responsible for the content posted or shared by you or others.

4. Third-Party Links

The Platform may contain links to third-party websites or resources. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or policies of any third-party sites and encourage you to review their respective terms and privacy policies.

5. Disclaimer

The Platform and its content are provided “ as is” and “ as available” without warranties of any kind. AIM Institute and the Omaha STEM Ecosystem make no guarantees regarding the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of the information shared on the Platform.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, AIM Institute and the Omaha STEM Ecosystem shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from or related to your use of the Platform.

7. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Your continued use of the Platform after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

8. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nebraska, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
